School's in Session

We've been so busy with the start of school that I haven't had a chance to post pictures! The girls had a great first+ week. It was an especially exciting first day because Maggie was chosen to hold the flag in front of the whole school for the Pledge! She was even sweet enough to let her brother take a quick turn. Maggie knows about half her class from the preschool so is working on making new friends. There's a new Kindergarten teacher this year and she has an ambitious list of goals for the year. I was glad to hear it and am looking forward to seeing how Maggie progresses!

Hadley is in 1st grade and knows everyone in her class. She's already had to move seats because, as the tallest in her class by at least 6 inches, she was too big for the desk! She seems to be enjoying her new teacher so far and having fun. She also kicked off the soccer season and was an all-star in the first game! They're team lost 0-4, but Hadley put in a huge effort and was so close to scoring. She's hoping to get her first goal this weekend! I was so proud of how tough and hard she played.

We're enjoying the little community at our Catholic school and I hope the girls have a great year!
