Tidepooling

We took an afternoon trip to Half Moon Bay yesterday because Adam had never been and I really wanted to take the girls tidepooling. We had an early dinner at a well-known seafood restaurant and then headed to a marine reserve to see what we could see. It was chilly and a little windy, but we saw enough to keep the girls entertained for a bit. I'd definitely bring them back on a sunnier day when low tide is more mid-day. The highlight was seeing a ton of harbor seals napping on the beach and swimming in the ocean. We also spotted a lot of crabs, hermit crabs, large sea anemone and shells. We were hoping to see a starfish or something else new and exciting, but no such luck this time. It's still fun navigating the slippery rocks and searching for sea animals!

Being quiet as to not disturb the napping seals.
There was a seal swimming just off shore behind them!
