This morning we had fun celebrating Hadley's third birthday! She woke up to find I had hung streamers across the doorway from the hall to the kitchen and then saw the mountain of presents. Adam was home for just a little bit before heading to work, so the girls got a special treat for breakfast - cake! It wasn't my best work, but she enjoyed her homemade cake in the shape of a "3".
Hadley is so grown up. She speaks very well and is great at memorizing things. She still loves books and if we read a new story to her once or twice she is able to flip through it on her own and say it back almost verbatim. She's also been working on writing her letters in school and likes to sign an "H" for Hadley on everything! Drawing smiley faces complete with eyes, nose, mouth and legs are another of her favorite doodles.
As dance class is showing us, she isn't the most coordinated kid so getting the hang of her new scooter may be a challenge. When the weather warms up we'll have to break in her new tee ball set too.
She's still pretty rough with Maggie and has a hard time sharing toys and attention with her sister. But lately they've been playing more together and they've been doing a great job sharing their room now that Maggie is in a big bed.
Her doctor's check-up isn't for another week or so and I'll post those updates later this month.
