Wow, I'd say time flies, but that's not the case in the NICU. Lucas is such a strong boy and has come so far since the days of ECMO. He's doing well today and his vent settings were decreased again. He also continues to be less swollen and looks so different each morning. His belly button nub is still hanging on, but my goal this week is to convince it to let go by jiggling and drying it up with alcohol swabs.
Lucas loves to hold hands, suck on his paci and lately look all around. He likes his arms swaddled some times and a soft blanket to keep him warm. Now that his picc is out, I'm able to put socks on him. He sported his UM ones on game day! He's kind of a bossy little baby and is making his own path! Keep it up Lucas!
