Lucas was so cute yesterday. He was awake for a good chunk of the day and the entire time I held him. He likes looking at his toys and will follow my voice. His eyes look dark blue for now.
His MRI results were all normal. Some of his cultures grew back positive for a few different kinds of bacteria but none that were surprising or an active infection. Most are sensitive to the same antibiotic too so he'll continue that course for a week or so just to be safe.
Chest tube #15 was put in on the left side on Friday. Ugh. Lucas now has two on the left and one on the right. There's still debate about how well the left tubes are draining, but his breathing seems to be unaffected at this point. Hopefully they won't have to mess with any more before surgery. The surgery still hasn't been officially scheduled but it will take place some time early in the week.
The girls are good. Both are loving school now. Maggie's going through some sort of phase. She's constantly tired and starving so must be a growth spurt. Hadley has been throwing some serious tantrums beyond any she's had before. She must be craving more attention. My mom and I took them to the park for a little last night and they had fun.
