FIRST WEEK / 18 Months

Time goes too fast. Maggie is already a week old. She had her first check-up and is perfectly healthy! She weighed 8lbs 15oz and measured 21in. Everything has been going smoothly with breastfeeding and her weight gain was good, so the doctor didn't seem concerned about her minor tongue-tie or her herniated belly button. She can hold her head up well and likes to look around and check things out during the day in the late afternoons and into the evening. She HATES being cold so bath time and diaper changes are a challenge, but other than that she is a sweet little girl.

Having Maggie around has made it so much more obvious just how grown up Hadley is. She turned 18 months on Maggie's birthday and is such a little lady. She has her terrible-two moments and can throw a good tantrum, but generally is a goofy, spunky girl that always makes us laugh. She's been sleeping through the night like a champ (knock on wood) which has been great when dealing with a newborn. She said her first sentence this week, "I want snack...please." She loves listening to music and dancing, reading books, going for walks and helping mommy cook in the kitchen. She's enjoying her sister so far and it will be fun to watch them play together when Maggie is older.

Holding Maggie all by herself. Just before she almost threw her on the floor!
Maggie's first doctor's visit. Waiting in the lobby.
Nama has been keeping Hadley busy and they've had so much fun.
Maggie is pooped out (literally - she's a pooping machine) from all the chaos that is Hadley the Hurricane.
